This service enables grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media and the general public to identify the kind of philanthropy foundations invest in, the application process, and how to write successful proposals.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation *- In November 1995, the Foundation's Board of Trustees has now appointed a Trustee Committee to consider, with senior staff members, what directions the Program in Culture and Arts should take in years to come. During the Trustees' review the Program in Culture and the Art will continue on an interim basis, at approximately the level of recent years, but without expectation of substantial new initiatives.

 

 

 

NEC Foundation of America* - This foundation focuses very tightly on science and technology education, principally at the secondary level, and/or the application of technology to assist people with disabilities. However, as its Web site states, "possibilities within our interest areas are limited only by the creativity of grant applicants. We recognize that important initiatives are being made by a broad range of educational, social and scientific organizations, and welcome the opportunity to support a variety of organizations."

Texas Historical Foundation-* The Texas Historical Foundation serves as an independent, non-profit, historical preservation organization for the State of Texas.
